7th Annual Meeting of the Project Logistics Alliance

The 7th Annual Meeting of the Project Logistics Alliance in Panama held special significance. It wasn't just a gathering; it was a jubilant tribute to seven years of fostering connections and collaboration—the very essence of the Project Logistics Alliance. Panama, with its iconic Panama Canal, served as the perfect backdrop for this jubilant tribute. This year marked our inaugural event in the Americas, and we are profoundly grateful for the unwavering support from all our members and partners.

Before the official commencement of the AGM on April 16th, we convened for an Exclusive Owners Club Meet on April 15th. The afternoon was filled with insightful presentations on the local market and networking opportunities, bringing together CEOs, Managing Directors, and Decision Makers for an enriching exchange. We ended the day with a sumptuous 3-course meal at the Caliope Steakhouse, setting the stage for the days ahead.

The AGM commenced in style with a Cocktail Reception on April 17th, at the InterContinental Terrace, with Panama City's breathtaking skyline providing a picturesque backdrop. The following morning, we started with the 1-1 meetings overlooking the Pacific Coast and a lovely video showcasing a project completed by our Canadian member, Convoy Logistics Providers through the Panama Canal. After a day packed with meetings, we embarked on a journey through Casco Viejo, immersing ourselves in the city's rich history intertwined with the multicultural heritage, culminating in a heartwarming Panamanian dinner shared in true family style. On the second day, for the Gala Dinner, all the attendees savoured a 3-course meal while being mesmerized by traditional Panamanian folk dances and captivating tales at the Emotions Restaurant Theatre. The star show of the evening was a spellbinding Michael Jackson tribute act, evoking nostalgia and joy as attendees immersed themselves in the magic of the night.

The standout moment of this year's AGM was our excursion to the Miraflores Visitor Centre at the Panama Canal. As luck would have it, we had the privilege of witnessing a vessel navigate through the canal—an unforgettable experience and leaving us filled with childlike wonder. This visit was further complemented by an engaging 3-D documentary narrated by Morgan Freeman that explained the canal's extraordinary history and construction, leaving us all deeply impressed. As a delightful finale to our journey, we were fortunate to encounter a family of sloths nestled in the towering almond trees on our way back from the canal. The afternoon ended with a farewell lunch filled with exchanging warm goodbyes and engaging in friendly conversations that laid the groundwork for potential collaborations in the months to come.

We departed Panama with a profound sense of gratitude for the bonds forged and experiences shared during this extraordinary gathering—a testament to the enduring spirit of collaboration and camaraderie within the Project Logistics Alliance.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our members, both old and new. We are delighted to have consistently enjoyed the support of Alexander Global Logistics from Germany and Convoy Logistics Providers from Canada for the past three years. We are also filled with gratitude for Global Logistics Projects from Switzerland, who very recently joined the Project Logistics Alliance and showed us support at their very first AGM.
