104 tons Vessel Engine from Denmark to Rotterdam07. October 2019
Alexander Global Logistics, member of the Project Logistics Alliance for Germany, Russia, and Mongolia just recently finished transport of 104 tons vessel engine from Frederikshavn, DK
to Shipyard in Rotterdam.
The engine with a weight of 104 tons and dimensions of 1185x325x515 cms was loaded by heavy lowbed trailer at customers factory in Frederikshavn and moved thereafter direct alongside waiting for coaster at the port.
Loading of the coaster was performed by 2 mobile cranes (1 x GMK6400 and 1 x AC200-1) in a tandem lift. After placing the engine in vessels hold the related LSD works have been started. Although the trip is quite short – 2,5 days ocean transit only – the same preparations are needed than usual. After 3,5 hours the performing lady MV “WILSON EMS” was ready for departure to Rotterdam Shipyard without any issues and another job was finished successfully by AGL.
Thanks also to Fairplay DK for local coordination.
Congrats to the AGL team!
