Alstom awarded FLS Thailand the on-shore contract for Logistics Services

In July 2015, Alstom awarded PLA member FLS Thailand the on-shore contract for logistics services for the Mae Moh Power Plant Unit 4-7 Replacement Project. Over the next 18 months FLS Thailand will receive and deliver more than 100,000 freight tons of break bulk cargo, more than 25,000 freight tons of containerized cargo as well as airfreight, LCL and locally supplied equipment for the Mae Moh Power Plant in the Lampang province 600 km north of Bangkok. The first shipment of nearly 7,000 cbm of structure steel arrived at Laem Chabang port at the beginning of November and FLS is currently in the third week of deliveries to the project site. In total there will be around 200 truckloads of cargo for this first shipment, with the longest items having a length of almost 24 meters and the heaviest units weighing up to 50 tons.

The second shipment of approximately 6,000 cbm structure steel is currently being loaded in Shanghai and is scheduled to arrive at Laem Chabang port in the first week of December.
