R&B Global Projects Charters Shipments for Windblades from China to the Black Sea12. August 2019
R&B Global Projects Ltd, member of the Project Logistics Alliance for Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia, has been contracted to handle an ongoing delivery of wind blades, from Da Feng and Shanghai (China), to the Chornomorsk port (previously named Ilichevsk port) in the Ukrainian Black Sea. The project has run successfully so far for the majority of this year and will continue to run towards the end of 2019.
Each wind blade has a minimum length of 67m and can go up to more than 75m long. Each shipment consists of between 6 and 12 blades. R&B Global is tasked with the challenge of chartering the most suitable ships & carriers, taking these blades on deck, with consideration to the length and special structure. So far they have chartered several ships for this, with more to come on a roughly monthly basis throughout 2019.
In the attached photos, we can see the transport and loading process that took place in July in Shanghai. Because of the long deck-stowage of the cargo on the ships, the routing of the ship is more or less limited by this, leaving the vessel no more space/time to deviate a lot, so R&B Global tries always to arrange direct sailings, which makes the client happy!
Congratulations R&B Global Projects on this contract, and we wish you continued success with the remaining shipments!
