HiLOG Completes Urgent Evacuation of an Asphalt Plant05. December 2018
Project Logistic Alliance's member HiLOG's Turkish office recently completed an urgent evacuation of a client’s asphalt plant from Tehran, Iran to the clients bonded warehouse just outside Istanbul, Turkey. Due to a 2nd round of US sanctions against Iran which European companies are expected to comply with also, the evacuation was to be carried out immediately. The deadline for removal of the equipment was 5th November, by which the last piece of equipment was removed just in time. Thanks to HiLOG, the client managed to avoid the loss of this equipment which has a value close to 1 Million USD. The move required 18 truck loads, which was a challenge in itself to source as usual return loads from Iran to Turkey have ceased to exist, and many other businesses were under the same pressure as our client, and looking for transport solutions out of Iran. HiLOG also completed the export customs procedures in due time. The client was extremely happy with the result, and the Project Logistics Alliance would also like to congratulate HiLOG on succesfully completing such a complex project under high pressure!
