AGL completes the HEP Project in Iceland

Alexander Global Logistics (AGL) PLA member for Germany announced that the last leg of their HEP Iceland project was successfully completed.

In the beginning of March AGL fixed the coaster "FILIA ARIEA" for the consolidated cargo consisting of 22 Units Steel Liner +1 Unit Transition Piece.
The coaster was successfully loaded at Unikai Terminal Hamburg during two shifts and reached the Thorlakshöfn port in Iceland within a transit time of 8 days.

Unloading of the coaster was performed by two mobile cranes within 1.5 days and cargo was stored in a temporary customs-bonded area in the port. After completing customs clearance, the units have been moved in five convoys over the course of five nights from the port to site Thorlakshöfn.
The trucks had to cross snow-covered roads, but all went very well and exactly as planned.

All involved parties did an outstanding job and made this project a success.
