CEA Thailand transported a custom fishing boat18. April 2017
CEA Project Logistics PLA member for Thailand was recently contracted for the transportation and export of a Hydrasports custom fishing boat. The boat was transported under CEA escort from the Ao-Po Grand Marina Shipyard in Phuket to the A5 (RORO) Terminal in Laem Chabang Port, Chonburi and then readied for export to Pireas, Greece.
CEA provided a Prime Mover, Low Bed Trailer, Mobile Crane and two Escort Vehicles for this transportation project. Before the journey began CEA teams removed 8 wheels from the Boats own trailer to lower the overall height when loaded onto the flatbed trailer. The boat dimensions with the trailer when loaded were 18x4x4.3m with a gross weight of 13 Tonnes.
Two CEA escort vehicles were in attendance throughout the 994km journey to maximize safety on the route for other vehicles and to foresee any possible obstructions, Previous to the project starting CEA submitted a detailed route survey to the client for approval. Upon arrival at Laem Chabang Port, the boat trailer wheels were reattached and the mobile crane lifted the boat and its trailer from the flatbed onto the Port. When all final checks were complete and the CEA teams were satisfied the boat and trailer were loaded onto the waiting RORO vessel.
