J Müller Weser Helps Alexander Global Logistics Unload 769 Bundles Of Forest Products26. January 2021
Right off the bat, in the first week of January 2021, our German member Alexander Global Logistics (AGL) has kept very busy with their North America operations. The AGL team has received, stored, and loaded 5000 CBM of forest products at the Port of Morehead City, in North Carolina. This has been the 4th vessel since June 2020 that AGL has operated this cargo.
Due to the oversized bundles, the S-Type vessel operated by Spliethoff was unable to use the side elevators, making it more challenging to load the 3 hatches with its jib cranes. During the 7 pm to 11 pm operation, which took 3 full days to complete the task, a total of 769 bundles were loaded onboard. The product is currently on a direct call to the J. Müller Weser, our German Port partner for breakbulk and project cargo. These forest products will be distributed to several parts of Europe with the help of their outstanding logistics team from their AGL Germany office.
Mr. Luiz Cosceli from AGL, North America is remains excited and comments – “We look forward to the challenges in 2021 and will make sure our clients are looked after from beginning to end, no matter where, or when!” We at the Projects Logistics Alliance wish you success with all the movements!
