Logistics Plus And Kodan Solutions Work Together To Bring SO3 Capture Plant To Belgium08. January 2021
Project Logistics Alliance members, Kodan Solutions, and Logistics Plus worked closely together during October, November, and December to bring some oversized equipment for an SO3 capturing plant from Nhava Sheva to the job site in Ghent, Belgium.
Due to COVID, there was a delay from the supplier's end which ended up causing a delay for further transportation. This delay added time pressure for the capture plant to be delivered in time to Belgium. Kodan Solutions managed the contact with the supplier very well and showed great flexibility for last-minute changes while securing the required space and equipment on the fastest ship to Rotterdam. Once the plant was in Rotterdam, Logistics Plus had the flat racks stripped and readied the cargo for delivery at the job site. Due to height restrictions in Rotterdam, the Logistics Plus team contacted the sister concern of Westdijk Sweden, i.e., Westdijk Netherlands to find a suitable trailer. In the end, the entire cargo was delivered on-site to the satisfaction of their clients. This team effort exemplifies the skills and power of the Project logistics Alliance members who strive and make sure to deliver.
