First Global Logistics Delivers Oil And Gas Equipment To Houston Without Any Issues

Founding member of the Project Logistics Alliance, First Global Logistics is proud to announce their involvement in the movement of 18 offshore oil equipment. The OOG cargo was moved from the supplier in Alexandria, Egypt to Houston, Texas in the USA.

These 18 units of oil and gas equipment were loaded onto 6 x 40’ flat racks and 1 x 40’ high cube container. The terms of movement agreed on were to supply from door to the liner outside the Port of Houston. Once this equipment was picked up from the supplier in Alexandria City, the trailers headed towards the Port of Dekheila. Due to the over-dimensioned cargoes, the trucking inside Alexandria was everything but easy. Traffic lights and tight roads surely were a challenge that the team at First Global Logistics overcame smoothly.
Apart from trucking, the scope of work undertaken by First Global Logistics included

  • Cargo surveying at shipper’s site
  • Route survey
  • Issuance of traffic permits
  • Freight contracting with the carrier
  • Export clearance and documentation
  • Trucking from the Alexandria city to the Port of Dekheila
  • Stuffing, Lashing, and securing
The operations team at First Global ensured that there were no issues and the cargo was successfully loaded onboard. Furthermore, all parties involved were satisfied with the smooth work. Congratulations guys, we wish you luck with all your future transfers!
