Altius Efficiently Transports Transformers from Turkey to Ghana in these Difficult Times18. May 2020
Altius, a member of the Project Logistics Alliance representing Argentina and Bolivia, recently completed the transfer of four transformers along with its accessories from Aliağa in the Izmir province in Turkey to the Port of Tema in Ghana. This transport was done as a part of a substation project in Pokuase, Ghana.
These transformers each had the dimensions of 9.9 x 3.4 x 4.65 meters and weighed 154 tons. The scope of work undertaken by Altius was not limited to the sea transportation to the Port of Tema, but also included port handling, supervision, and coordination of all activities.
The projects and operations team is proud to announce that this operation was executed smoothly and successfully despite the difficult current circumstances. Kudos for this successful transfer!
