Premier Global Showcases Pan-Asian Presence by Undertaking Shipments for Bangladesh Power Development Board19. May 2020
Premier Global Logistics Ltd., a member of the Project Logistics Alliance representing India, is proud to have moved and shipped pieces of heavy equipment from South Korea and Japan for the Bangladesh Power Development Board for their Bibiyana III project.
These three hundred fifty-five packages weighed a total of 2,657 metric tons. They had a volume of 5,600 freight tons, which included heavy equipment of various dimensions and weights from Masan, Ulsan in South Korea, and Yokohama in Japan. Some of the heaviest packages included a 90 metric ton shell from Ulsan, a 190 metric ton heat recovery steam generator(HRSG) from Masan, and a 303 metric ton steam generator from Yokohama. To aid this delivery, the operations and project team at Premier Global procured a brand new heavy-lift project vessel from BBC Chartering for the three load ports. The route planned for this vessel was eastbound towards Japan from South Korea and then westwards back to Bangladesh. All packages were directly delivered under hook onto 14 barges in a time-bound fashion without any detentions at either end.
Premier Global is proud to have delivered this critical consignment on time and are looking forward to a much more global presence in the coming future!
